Hi, I tried to make new skin to Armed Assault vehicle ''BRDM2''. I made new mod folder ''C:/Program Files/Bohemia Interactive/Arma/(modfolder)/AddOns/'' and I used exe to open this 'mod'. Then I '' wheeled.pbo '' and added my skin inside it and replaced original one (C:/Program Files/Bohemia Interactive/Arma/(modfolder)/AddOns/wheeled/ca/wheeled/data/brdm2_01_co.paa). Then I packed ''wheeled'' folder as .pbo file. BUT when I launch game and after menu loads, there will come error that tells There is missing .paa file. I think there's no problem in extracting and packing pbo, because I've made couple of skins (not vehicle skins) before with no errors.
Please, help me if you know what is this about or you've had same problem AND solved it. I dont want comments like '' Hey, me too. '' because those won't help. Just book mark this post and follow if I get this solved. |

Wouldn't recommend making reskins like that. Why not just do a replacement config? Much less hassle, and you don't need to completely copy the original pbos.
This is the part where I'd write a tutorial, but apparently the method I use doesn't actually work any more. (I could swear it used to work, must be something to do with quantums...) -------------------- The Rules - Nothing too complicated, follow these and we'll have no problems.

When I used cpbo to extract pbos too, all skins worked fine. Now I've tried Eliteness and ExtractPbo, but they wont work fine. If anyone could fix my cpbo or find similar, please tell me! Thanks! |

And now I found out that cpbo is bugged somehow, and when I create pbo:s with it, it misses some files and pbo is f*cked up then. So, if you know program to CREATE .pbo files, please tell me.. Thanks |

BinPBO is the best tool for building PBO files - no frills, but it doesn't have any problem doing the job its designed for. It's included with the BIS tools suite.

But I got another tool that works just perfect. PboView, you can open pbo:s without extracting em ( but not add files inside or get out one by one that would be nice ), and you can extract/create pbo:s too. One tool, three actions. Now, I can create and extract pbo:s without missing files and everything works fine. So this is SOLVED. |
