Australians At War goes live
http://www.armed-assault-zone.com/aaw
Australians At Wars goal is to bring the ADF from Vietnam to today's and the futures Hardened and Networked Army into the Armed Assault environment. Our mod team is a small but skilled and dedicated team and is looking for new skilled members to help us out.
If you think you have what it takes and could be of real use to the team then please drop us a message in the recruitment section of our forums. We hope to bring everything from weapons, islands, soldiers, vehicles, air and watercraft from both the Vietnam era to today and tomorrows Hardened and Networked army.

It will cover a large period between 1966-1973 when ADF forces were at their peak operational deployment, we are putting in a range of weapons so a mission maker can choose which equipment or weapons to include to make it a 'period' piece, ie: the Owen SMG rather than the M16

In the second stage the mod will be updated with modern ADF weapons, vehicles and troops that will come into service or already have with the new Hardened and Networked Army (HNA) concept

Looks good so far.
Has there been a release yet or maybe one coming this year?
I am so very keen to get a hold of modern present day ADF units for ArmA thumbsup.gif

There are no releases as of yet, when we have some it will be announced on our forum and on all major ArmA forums wink.gif
Modern units can be found from ABG and also Soldier X's Aus Desert DPCU which is hosted here;
http://www.armedassault.info/index.php?cat=addons&id=15

There is regular DPCU as well but I am not sure where one can find this

AAW will be working on modern units eventually however the Viet Nam war work is taking precedence.

All the ABG stuff is just imports from OFP with some model edits, no where near as good as the quality of what the AAW mod will be smile.gif Keep up the good work fellas cool.gif

I most certainly hope it is good most especially the weapons because the mod scene is pretty stagnant right now, I think its because people are either still learning or have laready left.

Now that is one very impressive looking weapon. I'm not a big Steyr fan personally but if the quality of this WIP is anything to go by you guys are really showing some great promise for the future of ArmA thumbsup.gif

Australians At War has moved websites!
Our new address is http://aaw.xtremedefenceforce.com/
Big thanks to XDF for offering us hosting and also providing Beta testers for the AAW mod. Today we did some beta testing for the F88s Austeyr. So far we have 2 version, one featuring the Steyr 1.5X sight and one featuring the BIS ACOG. We also intend to have for Elcan and a Aimpoint in the first release version.
