LOL, i dont know how i managed to keep it flying so long. My bomb run was really inacurate, i was aiming for hangers beyond the runway but was loosing 30ft a second. after i dropped i dived to try put the fire out after the fire extinguisher did bum all. Then i did that thing when you feel i slight jerk and takes you a good 10 seconds to figure your kite is missing a wing.
 good kill anyway wittman.

The extinguishers only work if your engine is burning, not if the fuel tank itself burns... only chance to survive is to nose dive and pray that you are fast enough to extinguish the fire... and then land asap

Still, that B25 wrote off two me109s and took numerous 20mm and 30mm hits...it should have stopped flying long before it did

Should of took an 88 then I lasted all the way to their airfield and had to crash land into a hanger less than 50M from my target

Yep. IL2 will still be popular for its late war settings while SoW is new, as it will begin in 1940 and work up...
