Of course, we won't see the tools until after this "expansion" because they know damn well that the modding community will create stuff infinatley better tiredsmiley.gif

Still, if I'm honest I don't really begrudge paying for an expansion pack - BIS obviously needs the money and I'm willing to support them as long as it leads to better and more frequent patches/ whatever.

So even if the expansion pack would only include a few crappy units, you would buy it just to support BIS? Sure, I'll be more than happy to give some of my cash to BIS too, but as long they give something worthy in return (and not just promising more patches in the future).

They're far from crappy IMO - still WIPs afterall. Plus, we'll probably end up needing it for compatibility reasons in the future.

the units look like mercinaries, CIA or somthing. I personally would rather they kept it conventional military but if this expansion comes with modding tools and other inprovments then what the hell.

Yeah I know, I was only asking "What IF" wink.gif

BTW, is it even confirmed that the modding tools will released together with this pack?

Yeah I speculated that tools MIGHT be in the pack as it would logicaly make sence in the time frame of things that by Q3 07 the beta testers will have finshed their testing - possibly building this pack? - and release it to us with the tools to make money as they are short. TBH I bought Elite becuase its got BI and OFP written on it. I dont own an xbox. If BI wrote ArmA on a CD and offered up for sale id buy it no questions asked for the sake of having it and knowing my money will be going to a good cause. That and watching gandalf own AI with an m16 is worth 24 Euros biggrin.gif

Ok, I know I can't be the only person noticing this. But what the hell is up with the Cowboys!?

Exhibit A:
The Schnell petrol Logo is: A Cowboy

Exhibit B:
The "Woodland Cowboy" shirt Logo, same as the Schnell petrol Logo weirdsmiley.gif

Exhibit C:
The second Field Reporter's identity badge... features him wearing a cowboy hat... looks very similar to the two previous incidents with Cowboys...

Exhibit D:
Hidden on the inside walls of the Northern Government Building (only visible if you blow it up piece of piece) is a variety of graffitti, largely this is stuff like Anarchy symbols, but, the most disturbing of these is the exact replica of the aforementioned Cowboy symbol!? What the hell!? Is there something I'm missing here? tongue.gif

EDIT:
Exhibit E:
The warning symbol on the green barrels. Look closely at it.
On a side note about the barrels, the purple one has "MILK" plastered across it in nice big letters. It is also has a warning symbol that indicates the contents are flammable, wtf? tongue.gif

This would belong to the 'Addons - Work in progress' board... And I believe it was even answered already before. Use the search function before asking...
Anyway, in the readme you can find the animation names. Simply put a trigger on the map with condition 'true' and on the activation field type:
unit_name switchmove "animation_name"

Yeah, I also prefer that one better. I wonder if it's possible to change in a config or something... by the way, it was in the earlier versions too.

heya, was wondering if any of you peeps can help me? Im on a 6800GT agp 128mb graphics card, 1gb of corsair ram, and 3500+ AMD CPU, now with no patches applied for arma, I disable grass etc and it still lags really badly, with the latest patch, how significint is the FPS increase? and is it worth me reinstalling ARma just for that?

cheers
