Is that a Vesmeshok on that last guy? The ancient backpack that is? As a Finnish surplus store put it, "It is an excellent demonstration of that if you really want to make bad equipment, you might actually do something to make it more uncomfortable and harder to use, because making something like this wouldn't be one's first idea."

My plead is for temporary insanity that was caused by permanent insanity of very, very twisted nerve cluster that's called brain matter, that's supposed to be grey but isn't, it's black and has a somewhat sarcastic and dark sense of humor, or lacks it totally. That picture is probably also "ancient" in military terms. Looks like Chechnya prior to 1996. -------------------- |

That picture is probably also "ancient" in military terms. Looks like Chechnya prior to 1996. one in the foreground with photos brother. 2 Chechen wars. Look at the shadow. It does not correspond to the soldier. I stuck it in Photoshop. Very expressive in his face ... And if you look at the soldiers come, we see that the photo taken recently. In August of 2008. Actually I have a lot. Photo and video sense. In August of 2008. nasnimal and then another shot. I guess I chose the wrong profession. We had to learn from the journalist:)). |

Usually I hate horses, but this fella here is really too ginormous to be cursed at in public:
"Noddy", a Shire-stallion. His shoulder height is 2.05 m (6 ft 7 in). Now imagine this massive hulk as a medieval war horse. -------------------- |

Wow, those are some nice pictures Vilas, nice landscape. Added Poland to the list of places I've to travel (someday in a very improbable future).

What part of Poland is that Vilas?
I've been to Wroclaw myself about 10 years ago, as well hiking near the Czech border. This post has been edited by I44_John: Mar 16 2010, 17:44 -------------------- |

Note: I do not recomend viewing this if your disturbed by death / physical injury of any sort or graphic depictions of war / combat.
Note to mods/Dave/Mark: Feel free to delete/move to military discussions thread the post if you think this is in breach of content rules, wasn't sure myself but it's some of the best photography I've seen of the subject. Added some more emphasis.
It's a bit extreme, but I'll let it stay for now, if anyone really feels the link should be removed, let me know. Left Mark an offline message on MSN which he got back to me at about 9am saying pretty much the same thing, in my defense ~3am after work that line slipped under my radar so to speak whilst checking the rules, will bear it in mind if I run into the same situation again.

Sorry, but without the hilarious sounds of pain, I can only find that mildly amusing...
