So, you lot, I have a wonderful proposition for you. You could join Delta ArmA 2 Operations, and in return, you could get friends, and fun!

Now, this post is going to be a tad bit personal. I have not been asked to make it by the man in charge, nor do I feel obligated to post it. It's strictly out of personal interest. That does sound a bit selfish, yes, but hear- or read me out.

I have had my share of milsim unit play. 4th SFG, 82nd Airborne, 15th Panzergrenadiers, among many others, and over the course of some few years. I liked most all of my time playing in milsim units. I liked the rank structure, I liked the missions, I liked all of it. I am not disapproving of it, and I am not encouraging you to stray from, nor will I ever, but as it turns out *now,* it just isn't my preference anymore. Now, I am happily taking part in, and being a member of Delta ArmA 2 Operations. We are not a unit. We have structure, but everyone still keeps in mind we are all people here. In the end, we're all able to laugh, call each other names for the heckuvit, and during an event put on our srsfaic. cool.gif

The one and only problem I ever had with large milsim units was the ego that many certain keyboard warriors obtained with rank. Not everyone, but many people. It happens, it's just a thing that comes with the units. I can take people demanding respect because of their position, but some of them seem to forget that we're sitting at computers. Now, that out of the way, I'm still going to say: Join a unit if you think it's better for you. They have their pros and cons. I am not on some big recruiting spree, I just want people to know there are alternatives if they feel units aren't their first pick. We're a lovely community made up of lovely guys, and I, and the others would love to take on more of you, if it's what you wish. Even if you don't want to officially be a part of our operations, we'd still love to have you present.

You can come say "hi" here: deltaa2operations.teamspeak3.com

Mind you, sometimes we're in, sometimes we're not, and as fair warning, we get a bit crazy when we're by ourselves. biggrin.gif Every group has their bad apples.

Would-be FAQ (If people frequently asked us questions) FAQ.gif

Q: What mods do you use?
A: ACE, and a mix of other addons, primarily. We're always open to doing other things, though.

Q: How would you keep order if you're just a community? What about ranks?
A: We have "ranks" so to speak. Teamspeak, hosting games, managing events; all of that comes down to specific people. We have structure, we're just not very strict, but all at once we still demand discipline. This group has some history behind it, and the only reason it has lasted so long is that it has had people taking care of the group, and the people in it.

Q: Why do you only have three Would-be FAQ's?
A: Because I like to keep things as simple as possible, and I hope what I have already said is enough incentive to get people to just drop by and say "Time to see what their all about." Whether anyone makes any decision to join up or not, that's all on you, but it'd be awfully nice. Good day, all. If you'd like to ask anything else, you can email me at "hhgrove60@gmail.com" or add me on Steam at "http://steamcommunity.com/id/Dinamarth/" or if you're lucky, you'll catch me on Teamspeak. Farewell!
