second: if person see proofs and he do not accept truth showed on pictures, tell me what word in english is proper ??? i was not using words like "suck" "crappy" as my addons were called here as moderator you should know - there is something called self defence, if person kicks me on street i am kicking back, if he takes knife i am using my knife of pistol and you cannot punish me , when truth is showed on pictures and not accepted by someone who started saying not-truth -------------------- |

looks like really in BIS BMP2 is something wrong, yesterday i was checking
i need 2 shots of RPG to destroy BMP2, total nonsense so in next VIBI i must include BMP2 too as it seems, cause it cannot be that way , that vehicle with armor=200 survives attack of weapon with hit=600 and in real life RPG7V penetrates 250-500 mm of armor (V, VL) and BMP2 with avaerage armor lower than 25 mm survies attack... probably after some patching BIS touched something in model or what ? something must be wrong in orginal addon -------------------- |

SO you should just make a BMP weaponholder with changed defences. That is not so much work and you dont need new model/textures.

i have just updated WPN and WPH files WPN now: - contains new LAW textures - HK G33 - fixed errors in ammo boxes and few others WPH: - fixed errors in tank crew - new webbing for Soviets - added small addon of weaponholders using 1.14 patch units -------------------- |

Rewan, ur English is pretty good. Actually, I think there was a version of BMP2 with a 20 or 25 or 23 mm gun - somewhere in Eastern Europe.
Russians normally use 30mm guns for IFVs. The firepower of those things is amazing - almost as strong as the 40mm Bofors! After a quict test (and it's not like we did not know that before): BIS BMP-2 after one (1, ONE!!!) AT-4 hit - status RED, as the RED Hammer Mod, VERY red, but it won't explode, the crew ejects, the passangers bail out, some are injured. Usually one track is so badly damaged that the unit can no longer move, or shoot, if it was a frontal hit. ANother AT-4 rocket will kill the poor thing. BUT BIS AI AT soldiers don't always score a DIRECT hit, let's keep that in mind, as the result sometimes it takes not one but three or even four AT4 hits to take out a standart BIS BMP-2. BIS T-72 after one AT-4 hit - status "yellow", like "Yellow Submarine", some parts can get more damage, and turn RED \ be disabled (after all, that T-72 is an early modification). The crew will almost always eject and run away screaming. Usually it takes 2-3 AT4 round to blow up this tank - after the second round BIS T-72 may not explode right away, but eventually it will, in about 6-10 seconds. The poor SHilka needs only ONE AT4 to detonate... One hit - one kill. Why? Maybe becasue it has no passangers?.. BIS BRDM-2 also won't survive a derect AT-4 hit... That's not very realistic, since I don't remember seeing any large boxes of TNT inside a BRDM-2, but it's a Russian\SLA LAV, L as "light"... The results are similar when u use BIS RPG. BIS M113 won't blow up after 1 RPG hit, well, sometimes it explodes, after about 6-10 seconds. This delay gives u enough time to get out and run away It's the same thing with all BIS Strykers. Are you not happy with this sort of balance??? in your wonderful pack ALL bmps explode without any delay, and they need only ONE RPG\AT4 to be destroyed. But I did like that T-72B + ERA needs more than 3 RPG rounds to be destroyed, AND the crew won't even get out! Very nice! that's howit shoud be. |

in my opinion BIS made something in strange way than...
i use BIS model released MLOD and i only added details on LOD 0, i used copy of BIS BMP2 config just making it strenght for 50 (from 250 to 300) so i don't know why this behave in other way in fact i saw that BIS BMP2 blows up after 150 fires from BMP2 30 mm cannon , is it real ??? in my opinion - BIS screwed something -------------------- |

Stavrogin - as i tested, making BMP2 from BIS released BMP2 model MLOD BMP2 blows up too , even if i use config from BIS without ANY changes
but when i use BIS ODOL model, it is 1.5 times stronger in my opinion there was something wrong and when BIS was making binarisation, maybe some elements in Fire geometry LOD dissapeared (binarisation can make strange things) i was looking for armostructural, material=XX, nothing helps and nothing changes effect so there must be something bad with BIS model -------------------- |

this game is insane, i have tested BMP2 and T72
to destroy T72 - 5 long series of BMP2 cannon, to destroyM113 and BMP2 7 series !!!! this game values are total mistakes and you told me my vehicles are wrong ??? I would like to inform about some updates: 1) weapons pack: > it contain new models, old G3A3 for 85 purpose, RPG-7 using different warheads (tandem, thermobaric, V, VL) also I changed BIS AK74UB model's silencer for valid model, cause BIS AKS74U uses silencer from AKM family 2) vehicles "ViBI" addon: > new model for BMP-1P > reworked and more balanced armor values, because BIS made BMP2 so strong, that using 30 mm long serie it takes easier to destroy T72 than BMP2, now BMP and M113 are weaker, while my Bradley and BMP2D stronger 3) weaponholders addon: > including few models more > including SLA Militia and bonus addon with reskin of UAZ Van to "Militia", but bonus requires VIBI, it is bonus for VIBI users 4) BW addon : > reworked model of German flak vest, added desert class and now my addon's soldiers use weapons Lowland Warriors mod addon of PZF-3 (included in archive) 5) NPL addon: > modern Polish soldier in tactical vest added > some vehicles reskins added (from old POL addon) 6) PWP addon: >added MiniBeryl weapon (not 100% accurate) all under OFP.GAMEPARK.CZ links, from first post of this topic thank you all -------------------- |

1. explosion of BMP: - check your CFG of BMP. Maybe there is problem with "secondaryExplosion" property: secondaryExplosion=-1; // value<0: calculate from fuel/ammo cargo + tanks and multiply with abs(value) // value>0: use value directly as hit in FuelExplosion If this will not help then check convexity and naming of components in fire-geometry LOD. 2. damaged models after binarisation: - use MLOD models for ingame testing and you can see all bugs on model in "arma.rpt" file. If there is no major bugs then binarisation will be OK. "c:\Documents and Settings\YourName\Local Settings\Application Data\ArmA\arma.RPT" Maybe this will help You. not this, BIS BMP2 is stronger than BIS T72
please put in editor both vehicles, place another BMP2 to fire from it, use long series from cannon 30 mm (AP) to destory T72 - 5 series, sometimes 5 and half... to destroy BMP2 - over 6, explodes with 7-th serie -------------------- |

That Ah-64A you are preparing... I am not a big admirer of that helo, but maybe it's a good idea to let the Community test this addon before
you add it to whatever pack or mod?.. After all, it's a a complex project.. So that there won't be any uber-weak BMP bugs etc. Just saw your M230 for AH-64A - a very good addition, no doubt. This post has been edited by Stavrogin1980: Jun 26 2008, 16:58 |

update beta okay, i finally get some time to update my old addons, specially now when Ufos and Space Invaders addons were released now humans can fight with aliens ;] i hope you enjoy beta soldiers models will be updated as Yac will get some time now i left with old textures, just with new models of soldiers and equipement vehicle and weapons are little reworked and normalmapped thanks -------------------- |
