Thanks for thay but erm... I've already seen them. Theyre just the shell not the actual thing. It's part of a kit you make your self. Evryone who says this drum magazine is 30rnd- your very wrong. They hold up to 2500 rnds.

Erm I meant as in real life 30 rd magazine style tiredsmiley.gif I know very well how many rds they can hold jsut said your better off with the "30 round style mags" if you don't want to fork out for a decent drum...

How many ways are there to reduce the velocity of your gun? The only way I know of is to use the TM reducer adapter for your barrel but I'm not sure if that'd fit the new VFC SCAR... Anyone got any ideas?

sorry to necropost...

the easy option is to either get a lower powered main spring or to cut the main spring down a bit. both I wouldn’t advise doing unless you’ve got experience with opening up AEG mechboxes. (one wrong move when opening a mechbox and you'll be trying to find all the parts for hours... then you’ve got to get it all back together tongue.gif ) other than that the TM velocity reducer is the only sensible and consistent way to bring muzzle velocity down.

I'mma telling you! 4 operatives for each police station and council building, a team of 16 for large government buildings. The majority of the armed forces are abroad right now and the police are in their worst state ever. This isn't just doable, it'd be a walk in the park. As revolutions go, this would be easier than hiding in a toilet and waiting for the entire government to pop round for tea and biscuits.

The only real problem would be getting weaponary...

I have the perfect response to that. But it's not suitable for these boards (I think). Remind me online and I'll tell you tongue.gif

@JdB
Good point, didn't think of it that way tongue.gif
Of course, 10% is still far more than we'd be looking at in our teams, so we'd want our the firepower we could get. And preferabley some stuff to increase surviablity. Maybe crossbows? I don't think you need anything special to buy them (that's how screwed up the law is here! You need to be registered at 90 different places to buy what is essentially a really complex sling that can only fire bits of plastic, but you can merrily walk in anywhere and buy a simple piece of equipment that can impale itself in the eye of a King Harold at over 100 yards)

(For those of you who don't know, Harold was the chap who decided he should be King instead of William. He's somewhat famous for having an arrow impaled in his eye while simulatianiously being hacked to death)

I'm yet to find a bad thing about its review over at Leka, so... main negative points are the small size (not too small though) and small, 16-round mag capacity. Apparently the thing does come with an adapter for longer mags, though. Heavy, tough built, accurate and the blowback kick and sound is said to be sufficient, atleast.

id say that ideal starter kits are all subjective but heres my recomendations.

if you want to be british:
ARMY L85A1 from Airsoftworld @ £115.00
+ clone of the g&g L85A1 with fixed blowback and made out of pressed steel
+ can take custom 9.6v sub-c battery in handguard without mods
+ comes with a free battery, it works ok but it isnt the best
- like the g&g the scope rail dimentions are wrong so it has to be filed down to take a star SUSAT
- may have problems down the line due to cheapness

if you want an M4
ICS M4A1 from zerooneairsoft @ £210.00
+ nice features, split top gearbox, working spring release and full metal
+ Indestructable (belive me iv done alot to mine that would make the average airsofter cry)
+ 328fps stock
- not as cheap as TM or ACM
- non standard gearbox shell and nozzel and hop-up mech

if you want somthing for the urban site
TM MP5A4 from zerooneairsoft @ £160.00 (I think)
+ cheap, strong and well built
+ can hold a very big battery
+ almost as broard an upgrade path as the M4
- small capacity mags that are long and a pain to fit in standard webbing

I wouldnt get batterys from an airsoft shop till youv checked out all the local scale model and flying model shops as my local one has the same batterys that 01 sell for half the price 0_0

hope this helps

I've got a CA M15A4 Tac Carbine - takes a Large-type battery (handy for long and cold games) inside the buttstock, has a Picatinny or Weaver rail (I'm guessing Picatinny) and a detachable carrying handle with the standard ironsights. Not too long, not too short, not too heavy and quite well balanced. Prices might be somewhat steep, though.

As I've said before, atleast some of the newer "Cheap China" production - JG, some of Cyma, ARMY - seems to be of a fairly good quality. Still keeping to G36C. tongue.gif

I thought MP5 mags were about half the size of a STANAG one?

Although alot of people now swear by CA guns Im still wary of their shoddy QC and their ott pricing. Im a ICS armalite user due to the split top box and robust design allowing you to do some very interesting things with the guns.

at the mo im toying with the idea of getting a solid stock for my m4 and then a second @ 425fps with no auto, to use in a DM role then I could carry the gun i wasnt using split down in my backpack smile.gif

Im with you on that dude, alot of ACM guns are comming out that actualy are better than the guns there cloned from :?
Take the Jing Gong BAR-10(TM VSR-10 clone) that with a few wraps of PTFE tape and a cutdown air brake shoots about 475fps and its like £37.00... cant wait for a british retailer to get some in biggrin.gif
then theres the ARMY L85A1 that fixes the only bad point about the G&G L85A1, the fact that its blowback mech has to be disabled or it would destroy the piston in 100 cycles or the unknown branded M1A1 that has a beefed up barrel support and makes the weapon alot more stable than the TM M1A1' Also think of the accessories, for airsoft mill-spec and hunting optics are mostly overkill so why pay £100 for say a green laser when you could get a ACM green laser for £30 that still retains beam cohesion and focus at 1km plus.

not to mention the reports that ACM guns come with 6.04mm barrels stock... if anyone cant tell im very excited about all the new stuff flodding out of china w00t.gif

QUOTE(Blackscorpion @ Oct 30 2007, 20:45) *

if your talking lenght then yes there are some half length 20rnd mp5 mags but in general the mp5 mags are longer that STANAG/M16 mags due to the larger caliber bullets close the length of 30rnd 7.62 mags but thinner due to the MP5 firing the shorter "pistol chambered" rounds.

if you were replying to my post, the main reason I put the mention about the mag length in was that because of there length some webbing pouches have to strech a little go over the mags but due to there width they have a tendency to move side to side in the pouch and then out from under the main flap at the most inconvenient times... iv dropped a few mp5 mags that way in the past :/

i do not know if you are completely clear about it, but those are airsoft weapons and they usually need a hole to fire the BB out from.

After some months i have a complete list for my airsoft happy.gif
now i'll just wait a few weeks to see if i can afford it like very soon or if i must wait to over new year.
I am planning on getting a HK416, just like the norwegian army dance.gif
