System Specs:
Processor: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5000+, MMX, 3DNow (2 CPUs), ~2.6GHz
Memory: Corsair 1066MHz (I think) 2048MB RAM
Video: NVIDIA GeForce 9500 GT
Sound: Not sure, onboard sound. In my control panel is: VIA HD Audio Deck, in my DxDiag is: HD Audio rear output
Motherboard: Not sure of the exact model. Will edit post later if necessary.
All motherboard, video, sound drivers are up to date. Motherboard is what came with the mobo, Video is straight from the Nvidia site, sound drivers are what came with the mobo.
I recently rebuilt my comp and added a new mobo, 2 gigs of ram, a dual core, and a better video card.
Before had 1 gig of ram, AGP mobo, single-core 3.0 GHz, 7600 GS, and it ran just fine.
We have tried updating the drivers for my video, didn't help.
Arma gameplay is smooth as a baby's butt. Just when I hit the MP filters screen I start to have problems.
Basically what happens is this: I go to the filters screen and these multicolored/rainbow lines go down the middle of my screen and my entire comp just stops. If I've got music playing, that stops too. The graphics, like the sun and the rainbow ring around the sun go one color or the other, like yellow or purple.
I know ArmA does not support dual-core processors. I know there is a dual-core optimizer that I downloaded and did not install, because I didn't know what it did. How does it work?
I have also heard of problems with the 9500 GT in particular.
Sometimes it will work just fine.
Other times, If I'm quick enough, I can avoid it, but I'm no always so quick. It gives about 3 seconds before it locks up.
Any help here would be much appreciated.
I'm not real good at explaining things myself. If you have a question, ask and I'll answer it to the best of my ability.
