picked up Arma 2 yesterday and poped the CD in, bunch of whining going on in the drive as if it trying to boot something up, but nothing happens, i tried putting in a different CD for a game and it worked fine, but ArmA 2 wont load, it doesnt even show up as in the drive when i go to my computer to view the drives.
SPECS: Windows XP SP2 Geforce 9500GT Intel Pentium dual core E5300 2.60GHz 4GB ram over 700 GB HDD space left. direct x9.0c |

The disk should be a DVD, rather than a CD, make sure you're using the correct sort of drive.
If this isn't the issue, then try to see if the autorun works on another computer, if you have access to one. It may be that you've received a faulty disk, in which case, you'll need to get in touch with the publisher for a replacement. -------------------- The Rules - Nothing too complicated, follow these and we'll have no problems.

I do have a DvD drive, i know that for a fact, ive installed other DvD games Such as Crysis. I'll try it on my brothers computer, if it dont work then ill contact customer support ASAP. |

Just tried it on my brothers computer, autorun popped up as it should, but still nothing on my computer. My popped in crysis to see if it still worked with other DVD games, and sure enough, it did. I dont

Nvm, im not quite sure why it worked with one game and not the other ( both DvD games) but downloaded a update driver for the dvdrw drive and now ArmA 2 works. Thanks guys!
