Probably for centuries now, I have a serious CTD issue with FFUR1985 Winter. I install the mod just like both the supposed and the usual way, and when I want to start the game, after a period of maybe ten seconds, the following error message is displayed, and the application crashes.
Cannot load world 'ffur1985w\worlds\intro.wrp' What the heck does that mean? -------------------- |

Yeah I know that. But it is there! "into.wrp", size 427kb.
I had this problem before and when I had requested help in the old forums, King Homer told me that a small percentage of people would have this problem for some reason and it could not been solved. But that is impossible! Please, any further suggestions? -------------------- |

go in the main config.cpp, and look at the line referring to the intro map... then post it here, the whole class island structure
I'll see what to do -------------------- Visit my blog about Poker at Blogspot.com

Do you mean class CfgWorlds?
QUOTE class CfgWorlds
{ access=1; eastSign="east_01.paa"; westSign="west_01.paa"; eastFlag="rus_vlajka.pac"; westFlag="usa_vlajka.pac"; guerrilaSign="guer_01.paa"; guerrilaFlag="guer_01.paa"; initWorld="Intro"; demoWorld="Demo"; -------------------- |

QUOTE "into.wrp" Did you make a mistake while typing, or does it really say that? (this is why I always Copy + Paste the actual filename instead of typing it myself). It should be "intro.wrp". -------------------- |

It's a typo. And the dialogue message window is the "no-copy-and-past-possible"-version.

It's a typo. And the dialogue window message is the "no-copy-and-past-possible"-version. Then how do you know that the file is there, and that it is 427kb? The "typo" you made is regarding the file you found, not any dialogue window, unless the quote below was also a big typo QUOTE But it is there! "into.wrp", size 427kb. You said that you found the "into.wrp" file, not that it was mentioned like that on a dialogue window, so it is possible to quote it Now which is it, you took a look at the file, or you just saw the dialogue window? It's hard to find the problem if the story keeps changing -------------------- |

Ok, again for the notes...
The typo isn't related to the file name but to the text of the displayed error message. You'll find the text of it above. Linker Split provided help, but unfortunately without any success. The same error still causes the crash-to-desktop with following message to be displayed. -------------------- |

Well, if the path and name of the file intro.wrp are correct, it may be a compatibility issue with something you have in your Addons folders (got anything non-BIS in there?), or a freak bug that only happens to people living in Bavaria -------------------- |

Well, isnt it an issue with loading the intro island itself? Does OFP have the -world (or something) startup parameter letting you have the game startup with no intro world?

Nope. Thunderbird promised to tell me what to do soon, but he did not so far. I'm not in hurry though.
