Beaten by orbital weapons platform "Polyus":
Because, while your little SPAAG may have some pretty good range, this things sit in low earth orbit, about 200km above the surface. And before the next person posts one of those anti-satellite missiles, it has a barium cloud and anti-missile LASER to take care of them. -------------------- The Rules - Nothing too complicated, follow these and we'll have no problems.

Beaten by itself, creating a generation of disgruntaled scientists, brought up on Star Trek, knowing they'll never reach another world like ours within their lifetimes as the only really effective means of interplanetary travel is rendered "illegal" by a bunch of Blueblooded fucknuts, who like to think they're "all grown up" and "the big man", because 'Ma and 'Pa were in the house/politbureau so that's pretty much gives them a free pass when it comes to pretending to know what's good for the planet or the species, when in fact they've pretty much doomed the entire human race to extinction, as we're left on a slowly dying ball of rock that they themselves both put the metaphorical gun to the head of and pulled the trigger.
In short, mad science. (Yes, you did hit a nerve there ^^ ) -------------------- The Rules - Nothing too complicated, follow these and we'll have no problems.

Beaten by fire.
All the bloody time. You need much as look at a pier and it bursts into flames. This post has been edited by Daniel: Apr 3 2011, 14:42 -------------------- OFP/Arma addict turned forum lurker.
