Hey guys, I can't remember how to make the AI sit down. I thought in OFP that it had something to do with setpos, but in ArmA I'm only finding setposASl. Anyway, I've been reading the command reference and I know how to setBehaviour, but how do I make people sit around a camp fire? Or lay in the prone? and don't I remember something about being able to make them smoke? Or was that an addon? Any help would be great.

Hey dude, check this out. It's the full list of animations in ArmA smile.gif
Smoking, sitting, washing cars, karate - it's all there if it's an animation in the game smile.gif

Have fun biggrin.gif

Yeah I saw that but overlooked it thinking it was for movies and cut scenes, thanks for redirecting me. And if anyone else is wondering the command I was looking for was switchmove, not setpos. Thanks again.

Ok, well I've been playing around a lot with the moves and I've run into a problem. I can't get them to stay. The goal is to have a bunch of guys sitting around a campfire smoking, checking weapons etc. However, once the animation is finished the units go back to there original position. So by the time my guy gets to the enemy base, he sees people standing around the fire instead. Is there a way to loop the anims, or a way to make someone sitdown and stay down?

Well if there is anyone else that has the same question, the answer is this.

Give the character a move waypoint with the animation you want in the 'On Activation' field.

in my case it looks like this
playername switchMove "AmovPsitMstpSlowWrflDnon_Smoking"; (soldier sits down and starts smoking)

then make a 'cycle' waypoint and put in the same thing. Place the cycle waypoint over the move waypoint and the soldier will sit there and smoke until disturbed.

Well in OFP you just had to set him careless before :

add this to the init field :

this setbehaviour "careless"
