What can be done?, im completly loosing the plot Options

Okay, i was going to put this in the MP area, but decided not too becuase might be a little to general. Basicly ive complelty lost the plot with TKC and ArmA multiplayer. It seems you cant use a server over the weekend without your game being completly spoilt. Here is an example of what they did to a game this morning



Now my point, what can be done? i know there various teams that try to get hold of IP's etc, but these guys are smart, they get around that. Ive just had enough, i spent good money on this game and it should be spoilt by internet thugs. There the football hooligans of the computer game community. So , is there any means at all, with the exception of playing on a private server, to stop them? Can we petition BI to create some sort of counter measure? Im just really angry at the fact there basicly robbing us of an experiance we paid for. Its like going to a zoo and finding somone stole all the animals.

The problem with counter-measures is that for every 1 hacker trying to plug leaks, there are 50 hackers trying to find possible vulnerabilities to exploit, whatever sort of software it is. Any anti-cheating system will only prove a temporary inconvenience for them. I have never played on a public server, and I have never experienced any bad game/team-play or hacking because of that. It is the only solution that works, password protected servers. Unfortunately what they are doing is not considered causing direct financial damage, otherwise government agencies and legal departments would be all over them. The biggest problem though is that these people are untraceable to everyone but CIA-like agencies, and they have "better" things to do.

I would love to be on the tactical team though that would raid their (mostly parent's) houses. Using breaching charges and flashbangs when there is absolutely no reason for it, bulldozing through walls just for the sake of fun etc.

Unfortunatley, there doesn't seem to be anything anyone can do right now... To be honest though, making threads about it just gives them more of what they want. This is exactly the kind of response they crave - sad I know, but true...

And please don't ever mention the word "Petition" again, that word has been abused way too often since ArmA was announced. Petitions get you nothing but more attention from groups like TKC, as Da Rat said, they don't get any attention in real life, so the more that is done about their work, the more they love it.

Also just because you bought a product from BIS doesn't mean you have the right to expect them to do anything about anything, they don't even have to release patches, legally their development of the product ends with the "Gold" product. I don't agree with it either, but that's how BIS and pretty much the rest of the economical world thinks.

i agree jdb, i would argue it is a breach of trading standards, but i suppose no way in hell is it, i mean its not the developers faults, its the bad eggs in the community. Perhaps with time they will get bored and move onto other games. We can only hope anywhom.

The only problem is that they are the cowardest people I've never seen => I've never met a T*C with his tag ^^
