Darfur American journalists in Sudan are confronted with the dilemma of whether to return home to report on the atrocities they have seen, or to stay behind and help some of the victims they have encountered. Yes, it's an Uwe Boll movie. Yes, that "Uwe Boll". Nonetheless it's a wake up call and a stunning documentary of a gruesome war. It took more of me than "Hotel Ruanda" or all the others movies that try to play heart strings without ever making us forget that it is only a movie. Boll gives the direction of his career. 8/10 -------------------- |

That's really not that difficult... To be fair, from what I've heard, he's not really that bad a director. He's received something of a reputation for his adaption of certain IPs, but he has received his share of awards in his time. A shame that most of the internet (read: nerds) only judges him on his lesser works. I mean, you wouldn't judge the work of, say, horror legend George Romero, on the work he did for "Mister Roger's Neighbourhood", would you? -------------------- The Rules - Nothing too complicated, follow these and we'll have no problems.

Went to see this last Wednesday and i kind of wish id spent the money on something a bit more interesting. For the Harry Potter franchise this movie was the next step in the books and made necessary logical sense. As a 'stand-alone' movie it was bollocks and either way it was boring as watching paint dry. Splitting the movie into two parts to make more money has dicked this movie as all the action happens in the next one which is a year away. There was no start, middle and end and the movie jumped from scene to scene with no flow. The acting from Daniel Radcliffe was babyish and he looked as though he was still 12. Rupert Grint seems to be styling himself as a ginger Vin Diesel and eclipsed Radcliffe in stature and acting prowess. Emma Watson is legal so f*ck yeah To sum up if you want to watch 3 teens bitching in semi-famous parts of the uk on a camping holiday this is the movie for you. If you want to spend your afternoon doing something a bit more exciting paint your bedroom -------------------- |

Vampires Suck - 9.7/10
You know, if they didn't completely toss aside the whole "made to look like a suicide" aspect, didn't make the sequences with the ex-druggie and D&D nerd look completely rushed and anti-climatic, this would have been a perfect horror movie title along with Puppetmaster and Phenomena, but this is undoubtedly one of the best films of the entire saga and earns a rightful place among my top favorite horror films of all time. I'll post a more detailed, possibly heavily scatterbrained review of this movie elsewhere. you can make LINK REMOVED TO COMPLY WITH RECURRENCE QUOTA. to watch here.....

Also, that movie is terrible. I saw a clip of it once. You've earned yourself an indefinite post restriction. Enjoy. -------------------- The Rules - Nothing too complicated, follow these and we'll have no problems.

It's a time to revive this thread. Any tips on some decent thrillers to watch? I'm quite into movies like "Ronin", "Collateral", "Taken" and the likes...
